0 Scottdale, PA Scottdale, PA Full-time Full-time $25 - $35 an hour $25 - $35 an hour Job Purpose Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will maintain and develop the quality management system to verify that processes meet requirements, make sure that control plans are applied and effective in mitigating risks.
As a Quality Specialist, to deploy, support and foster a Quality culture across the unit, by assuring and controlling Quality with systems, tools and teams to exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations.
Responsibilities Help and support in developing a sustainable work environment Maintain & optimize the Quality Management System structure to ensure compliance to Group Policies and Quality Standards such as ISO 9001 & AS9100; Manage the document control process:
Certificate, Quality Manual, procedures, and work instructions Ensure that quality assurance routines and processes are in place in the unit, and develop Quality awareness level as determined within the organization, Regularly audit Job Travelers to ensure that all QA checkpoints are met, Establish an effective Management Review process, including routine reporting with reviewing and improving methods, tools and processes, Ensure additional quality documents are accurate and complete with all required information, Update and maintain Quality System records and databases where and when applicable, Perform metallographic sample preparation and evaluation, as needed, Assist and support any internal, external and customer audits, Develop and implement process improvements to streamline procedures and reduce costs, Oversee all quality related issues and responsible for escalation of concerns to appropriate parties, Participate in root-cause analysis and problem solving on complex customer claim issues and communicate it accordingly within the receiving teams members, enabling them to take required and appropriate action, Participate in any projects which involved Quality, Share your knowledge within the organization.
Required Competences/ Skills Good understanding with Quality Standards ISO 9000 and/or specific high demanding quality standards like Aerospace or Nuclear, Solid Analytical skills - demonstrated ability to trouble-shoot complex process/system issues, Excellent communication - effective written and oral communications skills, Knowledge of MS Office tools and ERP systems are an asset, Ability to interact with different stakeholders and motivated to train and drive change, High customer and solution orientation, paired with a communicative personality and coaching skills, Hands-on and problem-solving mentality to challenge status quo.
Experience 5
years of experience in quality management in in high-quality level demanding industry(ies).
Quality Management Systems and internal/external Audit experience is required.
Experience in technical documentation and procedure.
Education / Certification Engineer Degree in Management of Quality or Technical field Job Type:
